I know I just posted and most of this is going to be repeated but, there was some stuff I feel I should have put in that I didn’t so, I am posting again in the way I am planning to do this from here on out.

First, a bit of a book review….. Right now, I am reading “Fifty Shades of Grey” by E. L. James. This book has been advertised EVERYWHERE and though, I don’t read a lot of romance, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I am just about finished with it and it has taken me forever to get to this point. I am really into and liking the story parts of it but, all the…..ummmmm…….”romantic” parts to it are just kind of, well, not for me. And there is A LOT of those parts which is why its been hard getting through it for me. If you love Romance books, then this is a book you would love. I however can’t wait to be done 😦 I haven’t decided if I will get the other 2 books to this trilogy or not. I am thinking I will simply because A) I like finishing what I start, and B) it sounds like he is going to end up realizing his way now might not be his way in the future…..I don’t know though. Obviously, this is just my opinion on the book. If you like Romance, then I think you would like this book. If your like me and can only handle so much romance, then you may not be to into it but, you will have to make that decision 😉

Now, back to knitting. I have updated info for this including the designer names that I didn’t know at the time of my last post plus, I am adding the yarn I am using with each project as well as needle sizes. So, here goes 😉

First up is the “Car Blanket/Pillow” by Lion Brand which I am making for my hubby. I am using Lion Brand Super Bulky yarn in 4 different colors. Oakland Black, Oklahoma City Green, San Diego Navy, and Tampa Spice (which is a red). I am using size 11 needles.

Next is the “Soaring Heart Mitts” by Nicola Blechschmidt. For these, I am using Carron Simply Soft yarn which is a worsted weight. The color is called Ocean and I am using a size 3 and 7 needles.

Next is the “Beekeeper’s Quilt” by Tiny Owl Knits and for this, I am just using whatever sock weight yarn I can get my hands on 🙂 So far I have 3 different colors of Jamieson Shetland Spindrift; Dusk, Moss, and Oxford, 3 different Berroco colors; Red, Orange, and Purple, and 1 Eucool in the color Plum. I am currently using size 3 needles as it is what I had on hand. I had tried using my size 4 circular needles for one hexipuff and I didn’t like it. It was a bit of a pain and when I finished it, there was no real size difference between that one and the ones I had done on my 3s so I am just going to continue to use my size 3 double points.

Next is the “Jackson Square Afghan” by Red Heart. I am using 8 different colors of Red Heart Worsted Weight yarn even though the pattern only calls for 4 colors. I am using this as a stash buster of my red heart yarn as I am not a big fan of it. To rough for my liking. The colors I am using is Burgundy, Royal, White, Green, Multis; Browns, Multis; Browns and Blues, Bonbon, and Buff Fleck. This is crocheted on a size J hook. This is the one I have kind of dropped the ball on as I don’t like crocheting as much.

Last but, not least is the “ScWiNoNa” by weezalana (which is her Ravelry name). This is the scarf I am making with my first ever REAL, NO accrilic at all, yarn! The yarn is from Hippie Penguin Fibers and is an Aran weight. The color is called Evergreen. I am using size 7 needles.

So, that’s all I have for now. I am going to post at least once a month and I am even thinking very heavily into just doing this as a video blog as, it would make things seem more interesting as well as easier. I know I would rather SEE what was being worked on rather than just hear or read about it. Makes things more…..well…..interesting 🙂 So, until next time!

Happy reading and knitting! ❤
